Portsmouth Referees' Association

Social Events - Paintballing

The Portsmouth RS's first paintballing event was an overwhelming success for those who went and promises to be better when it returns! Social events officer Andy Dine was thoroughly pleased with how the day went and thanked all those who were involved.

On arrival everyone was split into 2 teams (Oranges and Whites) with Andy also taped up especially with a pink cross on his back just so everyone could easily identify him for target practice much to the amusement of everyone apart from Andy of course!

A group shot of everyone after an action-packed day of paintballing fun!

The Oranges, which included members such as Andy, Simon Skinner, Manohar Bains and Dan Berry started the day well against the Whites (who boasted Dan Cook, the Kearsey's and Aaron Dine in their ranks) keeping the points near level after 3 stages.

However, the Whites stamped their authority down on the day with some hero-like performances from Jamie Kearsey who managed the blow up the Oranges and earnt himself the highest order of merit attainable from paintballing organistaion. Members witnessed Jamie fight back the tears as he accepted the award.

The sun shone down favourably on Jamie Kearsey and Dan Cook for the day who were singled out for special praise for their paintballing skills although Dan might argue with this who is still carrying battle wounds after being shot several times by avenging members

Dan Cook also claimed a certificate for being shot the most and in the worst places which included his neck and well you can guess the rest.
